POLISH NATIONAL
LACROSSE TEAM
Lacrosse is very new to Poland. Through the efforts of US Lacrosse, the Federation of International
coming from Tomek Kedzia, they played their first game in April of 2008 - Kosynierzy Wroclaw vs.
Poznan Hussars.

Four club teams, mostly in Western Poland, have been established by University students. Most of
competition is done via outdoor, inter-club competition and outdoor and indoor tournaments in
neighboring Czech Republic.

Future events which will include a “National Select” team comprised players from each club and
players of Polish heritage from other countries to play in the 2009 and 2010 Berlin Open in Germany
and Prague Cup in the Czech Republic.

MISSION
To create dynamic and viable lacrosse programs throughout Poland at every age level; using the
National Team as a model.

To bring clinics and educational programs that will enhance the growth of lacrosse at the youth, high
school, university and club levels.

To promote team spirit and national pride through sportsmanship, rigorous practice and play of
Polish Lacrosse!

GOALS
The overall goal is to create a Polish Lacrosse Association (P.L.A.) responsible for the development
and implementation of lacrosse programs, at all  levels, and to increase the knowledge and level of
play throughout Poland.  Through this association and programs, Team Poland would become an
active competitor in international play and become a major contributor to the overall development of
lacrosse in Europe.
